Stephen Sondheim’s Tony-winning musical proves that fairy tales don’t end at “happily ever after.” An assortment of well-known characters from “Little Red Riding Hood,” “Cinderella” and “Jack and the Beanstalk” head into the woods for a variety of reasons, but they soon discover a common enemy — an angry giant who threatens to trample them all.
