Lou Diamond Phillips steps into some mighty big boots in this remake of the 1947 John Wayne classic, but he fills them nicely and makes the role his own in his portrayal of a wounded gunfighter taken in by a group of Quakers. As Quirt Evens (Phillips) recovers from his injuries, he tries to teach his peace-loving hosts a thing or two about self-defense in this Hallmark production co-starring Deborah Kara Unger, Luke Perry and Winston Rekert.
