In director Frank Whaley’s semi-autobiographical drama, the lifelong friendship between would-be moviemaker Owen (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and irrepressible drummer Ray (Chris Klein) disintegrates during a trip to a two-bit film festival where Owen’s newest short is screening. When Ray masquerades as actor Wallace Shawn’s son at the event, stiff-necked Owen goes ballistic, and the duo parts on less-than-amicable terms. Will they ever reconnect?
